About me

My name is Elaine and I live in England, a typical Aquarian subject. I tend to jump around writing lots of poetry then longer articles about various subjects. I enjoy painting with acrylics and more recently I have moved over to digital painting which initially I found difficult but now I love it.

I am married to my lovely husband John who is my soul mate and best friend.

I am a spiritual person with a positive attitude to life. We have many lessons to learn in our lifetime, not all which are good ones. Challenges, when faced with courage and a sense of humour, along with a positive attitude allows us to overcome obstacles and help us appreciate who we are and the fact we are alive. I studied Reiki healing and often send absent healing and hugs to people who need it. 💞

Its has taken me a long time to realise that although it is good to feel that anything we do is recognised, it is not my goal in life anymore to receive awards . My goal is to write or paint something that maybe touches someone inside. Hopefully it may inspire them, makes them smile and sometimes gives them an escape from their reality if they need one.

Therefore I decided to keep this site an award free site and carry on doing what I’m doing. Meanwhile, hopefully learning from the masters to develop what I love doing the most which is painting and writing from the heart….

  1. I am so glad to know you Elaine, you look too young to have grand kids 🙂 while I was reading the above I could feel how some people can think and feel so much similar 🙂 I too more or less have the same reasons to write and be here on the blog. I hope to stay connected as long as I am able to. May your family and you be blessed with good health, peace, content and love always 🙂

    1. Thanks same here, we have a similar outlook regarding medication or rather keeping away from it!

I suffered a lot from acid reflex but after reading about the damage that the medication could do I stopped taking it, months after I ended up with gastritis, erosions and Barrettes disease which is basically pre cancerous cells and I’m back on the meds 😬

Some meds are necessary yet some have more side effects than the original problem, it’s finding the balance.

I look forward to reading more of your post
