Well I’m still alive!

What a journey I’ve been on, I can hardly see to write this. The surgeon went to my heart on Tuesday and removed a tumour the side of a cricket ball.. I’m told I have permanent heart failure and it’s going to take months to recover.. John, Catherine and Louise have been coming Everyday.

I am to be kept in intensive care for a few more days before I can go back to the other ward. They need to steady my heart and blood pressure. I’m. Getting Exercises everyday and the staff are angels .

Someone has definitely being looking over me, I am so lucky to be alive.

  1. Synchronicity yet again Elaine, been wondering how you are. Today I have been decluttering my drawers (sounds rude) and found a printed pic of my third Gambian moon which I lost when completing my Gambian scrapbook.
    🙏 for your recovery. ❤️

  2. So glad you are in safe hands, Elaine and they found this when they did! Best wishes for a healthy recovery….I know what you have is a rare condition, but, your situation sounds very close to what my sister-in-law had happen to her a few years back (hers was very large, too! ) She made a good recovery but it does take time, so, hang in there and keep us posted!

        1. Looking forward to it. I have had six months or more of not getting a lot of reading done and slowing down on the postings. Lots going on. Seems to be settling now.
