We were woken up this morning with a phone call alerting us of a flood warning. That’s the only downside of living between a river and a canal!
It is certainly deeper where the ducks were swimming yesterday
And the river is definitely flowing faster!
We are not unduly worried although the apartment building is built on a flood plain it can accommodate a flood, we would just need to move our car from the car park to a higher location.
It is supposed to rain all day today, time will tell if the river will overflow in to the car park! I wonder if I will see the ducks today ! 😬

I’m not going to worry about it, worrying won’t change things 😉

I just emailed an article of the Big Thompson Canyon flood of 1976. It was a place in CO we camped at that time. Eerie. I’m glad you’re on high ground.

I hope all is OK Elaine. The weather has been truly awful this week.

Yes thank you Bridget the rain has stopped I don’t think we will have to move our car. It’s been a strange winter with very little snow here! 😊

Yikes! I’d love to live by water but this would be my concern, too. Everything okay today, no major problems..?xx
