Remember this, I was so proud when I did this , no room for sentiment or canvases!
Yes it’s the same canvas although even on the wall it looks smaller somehow.
Remember I began painting this one in the night, I said I would probably edit and delete parts! It’s far from done but here is the before and work in progress
I enjoy watching your process.

If I had to live with the “eye” or the “angel” the angel would get my vote every time!

One day, when you are dead and famous someone will look at your paintings, notice that there is more to it than meets the eye. And to their amazement/horror/delight discover they are overpaintings. And wonder. Just like they do with Da Vinci…. I know, I know, it’s just where my mind took me looking at your works in progress 🙂

I love how you overpaint things, Elaine. I get so attached to my creations I worry that if I make one mark too many I will spoil it. I do (make one mark too many, I know) but then couldn’t think of overpainting. You are very brave and very bold! I suppose you have your photos of them on the blog, so it’s all good!

It really is a case of not enough room, I must have painted over a hundred canvases, painting is not a cheap hobby either so I overpaint the ones that I don’t adore. I have to confess that I destroyed the Sister Mary, sleeping/ alive angel. It freaked me out 😳
