Painting in the night!

I must be feeling better because I’m up painting! It’s 2.12am but when the urge strikes me I just can’t sleep. I’ve missed painting for the last few days. This is my first painting, a male angel 😉

I’ve started this one below which I will add and delete as I go, but enough for tonight it’s great to be back 😃

  1. I can’t sleep either so instead I’m studying the word and writing. I’m leading worship in the morning so I should really get some sleep though.
    Love the painting 💕

  2. Even if I can’t sleep, I’m still tired, can’t do anything creative. I’m surprised you paint so much in the middle of the night. Love your male angel. 🙂

    1. I had gone to bed and slept for a couple of hours then nearly jumped out of my skin thinking I could see a picture above me! I was wide awake then. When I walked into the craft room I thought hmm I will just have a dabble. Two hours later I was still dabbling 🙂 slept in this morning so feeling good 😊

      1. I know what it means by the “light bulb” being turned on. It’s so vivid that you’re wide awake.
Good thing about retirement is you and I could sleep in. 🙂

  3. That’s the sign of a true artist, isn’t it? Whether you paint, draw, write poetry, books, movies, a sudden thought comes and impels you onward to create that precise thought, moment. I say go with it. Your body will sleep when it needs to. I was awake 3/4 of the night too. Mine was in response to a horrific dream! Yeck! Nothing as glamorous as painting or writing even!

  4. Glad you’re feeling better and getting back into the swing of things – the male angel looks very heavenly, and I love the second painting! Will look forward to seeing how it comes along 🙂
