Sharing my world – 27/11/2017

Would you prefer a reading nook or an art, craft, photography studio?

Personally I love book shops especially old book shops in small villages in the Cotswolds, I could spend hours browsing, plus I love the smell of old books 😏

I also love visiting  stately homes (of which there are many in England) I can also admire the artwork on the walls.

Tell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report.

After a few dark days a strong  wind has blown away the cobwebs which where hanging from the moon and the sun is now smiling brightly yet again.

If you could witness or physically attend any event past, present or future, what would it be?

I would like just one day from the past where I could have another conversation with my dad. He was such a joker 😄

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Ive been doing a lot of reading over the last few days and I have been inspired by Rebecca Campbell’s Light is the new black, it’s a spiritual book and one that I can relate to. 😇

  1. Guilty as well – I used to go to antique stores just to buy books – I didn’t read them, I just enjoyed the books for their age (pronounced greatly by their smell 🙂 )

  2. I love these share sessions! I wish you could talk with your dad again too. Mine passed away years ago and I still miss him so I understand. I am glad the sunshine has returned as well. And I’d love to hear more about the book! Do you recommend it because I will look into it. I love the title! 🙂 Oh and I love old books and castles too!

  3. Oh, I love old books, Elaine. I love to visit stately homes also. When we were in London, we visited Longleat. We toured the building and saw a painting done by someone with the last name Hurdle. I pointed it out to my husband. There is a safari and the info shows that it’s the second largest safari in the world, very interesting!

  4. My very favourite type of shop is a book shop. I was just saying other day that cities around Scotland’s Book shops are dwindling. I can only think of two in Glasgow. This makes me sad 😦 I also love old stately homes.
