Confession time ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now I am a woman who like bottled water and I aim to drink minimum 1.5L.e ย a day. Every week our home shopping delivery man brings me the bottles ( no need to feel sorry for him, we have a lift in our apartment block)

Last night John watched a programme on tv which stated that if you fill a jug with tap water and leave it uncovered overnight in the fridge it will be just like bottled water.

This morning I went to our fridge and saw that John had done just that ๐Ÿ˜ค on one shelf was a jug of water! He has to prove a point! Well what he doesnโ€™t know is Iโ€™ve put some lemon juice in that jug Ha letโ€™s see if he notices that!

P.S. itโ€™s a little bit cloudy now ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜

  1. Hi Elaine. Bottled water goes through a stringent filtering process that hopefully removes all unhealthy minute and mostly invisible yuk. Just leaving a jug of tap water in the fridge overnight, results in these yukky particles sinking to the bottom of the jug. As soon as the jug is moved and water poured from it the bad bits get mixed up in the water again. The last dregs of the jugged water will be the yukkiest. So it is a pointless exercise really.

  2. Just get a water filter installed. We have a tap which has a double outlet. One for filtered water, one for mains water. Lemon water, BTW, is soooo good for you ! Bottled water is expensive. The sale of bottled water has been touted as one of the most successful marketing cons of all time. Here at least bottled water can be dodgy depending on which one it is. Some research has shown that up to 40% is mains water regardless of what the label states. Some is contaminated. Some bottles have toxic linings. If not stored safely (eg in hot conditions) the chemicals can leach into the water. Many people keep bottled water in the car where it gets hot. Big problem. There! I’ve had my say ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. We have a distiller to purify our water. Our tap water has lots of contaminants and bottled water as Raili mentioned has a toxic lining that seeps in the water in hot conditions. Lemon water is good for you. Enjoy it.

  4. I agree with ลพ John, and that’s what I do, leave the water overnight in the fridge. Lemon is good but it’s hard on the stomach if you use it all the time, at least it is on mine.๐Ÿ™„โ˜บ๏ธ
