You know when you have met the right one

Because your heart beats in unison

You hang on to their every word

Watching their lips and imagining what it would be like to be kissed by them

You gaze into their eyes looking for signs that they feel the same

They are the first thing you think about when you wake up

And the last thing at night, before you give in to sleep

You allow them to fly free

Because you know they will return.

  6. I love your poem but the ‘love returning’ bit hasn’t happened to me yet. I let the love of my life go 24 years ago and he hasn’t come back to me yet. I wasn’t the love of his life obviously. I have got no idea where in the world he is now,

    1. That is so sad Kim, your right though as much as it hurts, you were not the love of his life. You deserve someone to love you as you should be loved.

      So you need to let this old love go, say to yourself, it’s over I need to move on, you are blocking your real true love coming forward by holding on to the past….

  8. John is my third husband 😊it’s not something that I am proud of, I think I had to go through similar to what you are going through. I never gave up hope, I kept praying for the right man to appear, I changed my mindset about what I was looking for because that had obviously not worked for me before, marrying two Pisces men uggg! I’m an Aquarius John is a Gemini, perfect match. 🌹when the time is right, when you recognise your worth the right man will appear 😀

    1. I was 22 when I met and fell in love. Our relationship lasted 7 and a half years. Then my mother fell terminally ill with a brain tumour aged just 53, my age now. I left the home I shared with Dave to go and help my Dad look after my Mom and to spend more time wiith her. She died 5 months later by which time Dave had made up him mind that he liked being ‘single’ again and he quickly found another girlfriend. He is sagittarius, I am gemini and my absent husband is aries. We have been married 21 years and have never been close. We both married on the rebound and found out too late that we had nothing in common and didn’t even like one another very much. We have 2 sons, aged 20 and 18.
