Age dilemma

I could not believe it when I found this poem in my folder, written ten years ago. Where as the time gone?

Another birthday, another year

Extra wrinkles now I fear

The years fly by at such a speed

It must be the hectic life I lead

I remember when I reached forty

How I rebelled, I was quite naughty

Yes age is a number………but

I don’t want to be old and stuck in a rut

I will have to keep an active mind

Exciting hobbies, I will find

No not knitting or bingo playing

Something exciting that won’t cause greying

I least I don’t look forty-nine

It must be all the cleaning, no drinking wine

The hair dye is worth its weight in gold

That’s one of  the dilemmas of getting old.
